AlphaGraphics Conference 2015 “United We Thrive” was a four-day whirlwind of learning opportunities, meetings, networking and activities held August 5-8 in Washington, D.C.
Following some special pre-Conference classes, the kick-off event was a delightful dinner cruise on the Potomac, where Franchisees enjoyed food and beverage while sailing past many historic monuments and attractions. The cruise gave AlphaGraphics Franchisees the opportunity to meet with old friends and make new ones.
On Thursday, the opening General Session featured a stirring performance by a fife and drum corps and a recognition of veterans and first responders in the AlphaGraphics family. AlphaGraphics President Aaron Grohs addressed the assembly and outlined his vision for the coming year, highlighting six initiatives that will be the focal point for the executive team in the coming months. These include Ecommerce, management information systems (MIS),marketing, agSigns, training, and purchasing. He also introduced Ryan Farris, recently named as the new Chief Technology Officer for the company. AlphaGraphics Franchisees also received a number of awards in recognition of outstanding performance in the Network.
Franchisees had the opportunity to see the latest in goods and services at the Technology Expo on Friday, where more than 50 vendors explained the industry’s most recent advancements. Vendors also provided a number of educational sessions to keep the Franchisees up-to-date on current trends and technology.
Saturday’s General Session featured a well-received keynote address from Les McKeown, author of Predictable Success: Getting Your Organization on the Growth Track–and Keeping It There. His insights into the business cycle were as amusing as they were insightful. That evening, attendees of the Conference enjoyed the AlphaGraphics 45th Anniversary Gala, featuring a gourmet dinner and more awards, culminating in the presentation of the coveted Franny Award, recognizing the best-of-the best in sales, operations, and involvement with the AlphaGraphics Network.
